Position: Industrial Designer

Immediate Supervisor: Design Director

Schedule: 8 hours/day (flexible)

Salary: $24-27/hour

Working in a stimulating and educational environment, the industrial designer designs, innovates, and adds a personal touch to the products they create. They consider all stages of the product lifecycle and must communicate easily with team members. They need to be rigorous and focus their work on performance and results.

Main Duties:

  •  Design production drawings for assembly and installation
  •  Participate in brainstorming sessions and creation of new ideas
  •  Continuously improve designs to optimize cost, and ease of assembly and manufacturing
  • Prepare renderings and presentation plans for clients
  • Participate in the fabrication of models and prototypes
  • Meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative


What Success Looks Like:

  • In 3 months: You master all tools and the order tracking process (Rendering, SolidWorks, Odoo, Pronest, AutoCAD, production gantt chart, and logo printing). 
  • In 6 months: You master the product (tent) and can propose concrete improvement ideas. You have achieved a good level of autonomy. 
  • In 12 months: You can prioritize tasks. You have all the technical knowledge (installation and production) to intervene and make decisions on product design. You are capable of applying Lean culture principles (PDCA, 5S, problem-solving, 8 wastes).
