Position: Electromechanic

Immediate Supervisor: Methods & Continuous Improvement Engineer

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (flexible)

Salary: 35-40$/hr, based on skills and experience


You are organized and quickly become autonomous.
You take the lead on priorities and are capable of planning tasks. You are very comfortable with new technologies.

As an electromechanic, you will primarily ensure the proper maintenance of equipment and machinery, as well as general building maintenance. You work well both independently and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Analyze and plan daily priorities
  • Actively participate in the setup/configuration of the new facility
  • Inspect equipment to ensure reliability
  • Repair various machinery
  • Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance on equipment (plasma cutter, welder, industrial washer, air conditioners, bandsaw, drill press)
  • Ensure equipment compliance
  • Diagnose and repair production machines
  • Repair various small motors and perform troubleshooting
  • Implement new machines
  • Carry out tasks related to building renovation and maintenance (electricity/plumbing)

What Success Looks Like:

  • In 3 months: You are familiar with all machines and tools at Grandchamp. You propose solutions to problems and implement them. You regularly perform controls and maintenance on machines.

  • In 6 months: You can organize your work with internal BOs based on company priorities. You are familiar with our processes, suppliers, and stakeholders. You have established a preventive maintenance schedule for the machines. You are fully autonomous in maintaining and repairing the machines.

  • In 12 months: The maintenance team grows, and you are the leader. You plan, organize, and oversee tasks. You provide training. You apply Lean Management principles to your work for efficiency. You actively participate in relocating to the new facility. You organize the disassembly and installation of machines in the new location, among other tasks.


Qualifications and Work Experience Required:

  • DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in an SME is an asset)
  • Strong priority management skills
  • Ability to organize and plan objectives
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Adaptability to change
  • Proficiency with technological tools
